S.M.S INTERIORS

Fire Island, NY
S.M.S Interiors embarked on a renovation for a family of longtime Fire Island beachgoers,
thoughtfully reimagining a beloved beach house that had been transported from the mainland in the 1960s.
Respecting the home's history while adapting it for modern living, we reconfigured the floor plan by relocating the kitchen
and a bedroom, creating a more functional and natural flow for family life and entertaining.
To enhance the home's coastal character, we clad the ceilings in matching beadboard,
introducing warmth, texture, and architectural continuity throughout the space.
The project also included carefully curated finishes, custom millwork, and a thoughtful blend of
bespoke furnishings and collected pieces, resulting in a timeless retreat that honors the home's past while
embracing a fresh, elevated vision for generations to come.
